Distressing Things

During the 1975 World Series, Carlton Fisk hit a long fly ball near the foul line. He excitedly began jumped up and down and waving his arms around as if to persuade his hit to cross the fence in fair territory. The ball did just that and gave him a home run. But an NBC cameraman was too busy avoiding a rat near his post and didn't take the camera off Fisk after the hit. Had the cameraman been doing his job and focusing on the ball rather than the batter, this scene would have never been captured on film. In our lives, the distressing things sometimes give us opportunities we would have otherwise missed!
