JOKES

The Two Brothers

In a little town in the wild West there were two brothers who were notorious for their terrible ways:  always stealing, stirring up trouble, and getting into fights. One day, one of the brothers died, and the surviving brother called on the preacher to perform the funeral service.

The brother snarled, "Listen here, preacher. I'll pay you a hundred dollars if you perform the funeral service for my brother, but on one condition--you gotta say that he was a saint."

The whole town heard about this and everyone showed up for the funeral service, anticipating how the preacher was going to handle it. Would he publicly tell a lie? Or would he back down?

The preacher got up to speak and said, "Old Joe here was a boozer, a brawler, a troublemaker, a thief and a liar. He was dirty, rotten, and good for nothing. But compared to his brother over there, he sure was a saint."
