As you make your plans for Christmas
And you hasten here and there
In the many tasks that beckon,
With so little time to spare.

Then pause for just a moment
Think of Christmas far and wide
Of the loving and the giving
That is part of Christmastide.

And in your hearts consider,
Ere you go upon your way
That had the Christ Child not been born,
There’d be no Christmas Day.

Had God not shed abroad His love
Through Christ, to earth come down,
There’d be no Christmas carols sung,
in city of in town,

Pause for just a moment
Think of Christmas, far and wide,
And give to Christ His rightful place
This blessed Christmastide
