A tourist in China was admiring a local man's necklace. "What's it made of?" she asked.

"Alligator's teeth," replied the Chinese man.

"Well," she said, "I suppose they hold the same value for you as pearls do for us."

"Not really," the man answered, "Anybody can open an oyster."
