A teenager who had just finished his Red Cross course in safety ran into the house one morning shouting to his mother, "Mom!  Mom! I just had my first chance to put my Safety First Aid into practice. There was a real bad accident down on the corner, so I sat down on the curb, put my head between my knees, and I didn't faint."

The boy missed the whole point of his training.  Jesus doesn't want us to miss the point of why we're given all these gifts of talents and eyes and hands and a tongue and feet while we're on this earth.  They are not given only to serve ourselves but to glorify our Lord.
